Career Goals: To be a leader in Healthcare Administration because people of color like myself face many inequities in the current system. I want to break some of the barriers to quality care and diminish adverse outcomes.

Hobbies: Thrifting, Yoga, and taking Daycations whenever I get a chance

How has the TTS Program helped you?
In every way, the TTS program has helped me, from words of encouragement to keep me going throughout the often depressing pandemic to sending me resources about internships and jobs. I am so grateful for TTS because I cannot ask my family for guidance as a first-generation college student. My advisors at TTS have been my on-campus family guiding me through my college experience.

What keeps you motivated and positive throughout life's hardships?
My beautiful, intelligent, and funny son is the person who brings me so much joy that no matter how much it may rain, I can still keep a smile on my face. I learned through him that the cliche saying "children are a blessing" really isn't a cliche after all.

What advice would you like to give to your fellow scholars?
Go to the workshops, read the emails sent to you, and talk to your counselors and advisors because these things will make your college experience so much easier and prepare you for life post-graduation.

What are your plans after graduation?
I have been accepted to graduate school, so I will be entering that program soon and walking around "living my life like it's golden," in the words of Jill Scott.
