How has the Program you are involved with helped you during your academic years here at Dominguez Hill?
Transfer to Success has been immensely helpful. They have helped me develop my roadmap to graduation, and they have been able to guide me with everything as a new CSUDH student.

What keeps you motivated and positive throughout life’s hardships?
I am the first person in my immediate family to ever attend a university. I am primarily motivated because I know I have to work hard to not just take care of myself, but to also take care of my family.

What advice would you like to give to your fellow scholars?
Do not be afraid to seek help. I mean this with everything in regards to college and in life. When I was not sure about the path I wanted to take my classes, I sought out counselors to create a roadmap for me. When I was struggling with my statistics courses, I sought out the help of tutors that my school provided. I am a shy and introverted person but I knew my education was important enough to force me out of my comfort zone and I am happy with the results.

What are your plans after graduation?
I want to continue my education here at CSUDH and pursue a teaching credential to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher.
