How has TTS helped you?
It has helped me as a guide. It has made me familiarize myself with the variety of CSUDH resources available to students. It has also provided the opportunity to access our peer coaches when I need help. In addition, it helped me elevate my own standards in order to keep my grades up. And if that wasn’t enough, it gave me examples of how to uphold a conversation, what to expect in an interview, and how not to sell myself short.

What keeps you motivated and positive throughout life’s hardships?
Receiving thoughtful gifts throughout the semester, such as: CSUDH t-shirts, lunch, gift cards, a warming welcome, periodic check-ins, and a countdown to every semester from staff advisors. This has kept me motivated throughout the semester.

What advice would you like to give to your fellow scholars?
Take a chance and sign up to as many programs/resources as possible. You will definitely learn something from every session.

What are your plans after graduation?
My plans are to advocate, mentor, be a leader in my community, and carry out positive change as a public administrator.
