How Has The TTS Program Helped you?
This has actually been my first time involved with TTS. I had my first appointment with Liliana who is helping me look into schools for master programs.

What keeps you motivated and positive throughout life’s hardships?
What motivates me to keep pressing on through all the obstacles that I have gone through is the support of God, my family, and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better journey than the one that I’m on now. I went to college straight from high school in 2007 and it just wasn’t for me. I think God that I was allowed to grow as a woman as a student and so much more in order for me to get to the place that I am now. Going back to school at an older age gave me more wisdom, more stability to learn more, and it also gave me the ability to be able to press through any obstacles that I have come across. My journey has not been easy but it is definitely a journey that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Without my family and friends to support me through my darkest moments and times that I want to give up I wouldn’t be here now. There’s been times that I’m beyond tired. I sacrificed sleep so that I may work two full-time jobs and still be a full-time student that manages to get all good grades. My determination is a testament to my never giving up strength. I pray that my story will encourage others to never give up and anything is possible.

What advice would you like to give to your fellow scholars?
I’d tell people there is nothing you can do. Your story makes you strong and it can help anyone that comes in contact with you. Everyone has a light that shines so bright that it can pull someone out of the dark.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation I plan to start working on my Masters in Counseling.
