Career Goal: My dream job is to become a math teacher/ Counselor to play a role in children’s lives.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending my free time with my nephew Gabriel, and I also sing in a church choir.

How has the MSTI Program helped you?
The MSTI program has helped me a lot on guiding me what steps I have to take to achieve my career goal. They have also helped me stay on track on my academics. In which I try to have a meeting with my MSTI advisor before and after the semester end so we can catch up on things.

What keeps you motivated and positive throughout life’s hardships?
What keeps motivated is my family. They have helped me out a lot during this time of the pandemic and have always kept me motivated to continue doing good in school.

What advice would you like to give to your fellow scholars?
Some advice to fellow scholars is to not be afraid to ask for help when you needed it. I know we can be scared at first to admit that we need help but we need to be able to accept that we are just stuck and need help. Especially in this pandemic it’s been hard to have that one on one with a professor since it’s online.

What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after graduation is getting into the REAL Program so I can start working as a teacher.
